Fairy Wonderland!

In 2 weeks time it's my daughter's, Leebee, birthday. The plan (ok, one of them :-), is to have some kind of workshop for (and with) the guests. I like to create something with them that they can take home, last year it was lollipops we handmade, this year it'll be an eco friendly project!. There will be about 25 girls, most of them around 6 years old...
Leebee and I have been discussing the workshop for a few weeks now, and I am happy to introduce Miss Fairy/Angel/antroposophic-like doll!

She is so cute, and when hung on a thread alone or together with friends she (they) make a great mobile and room decoration both for babies and adults.

Each fairy made from 2 grocery bags, a nice project with a very impressive and yet delicate result!
I'm planning on uploading a a tutorial for this in my shop, so get ready for a fairy celebration!

Do Owls HOOT or OOT???

I have no idea, so I created this treasury for my fellow owl-friends:

Come in to leave a comment soon or else it'll be gone forever......!;-)

ECObyLimitz is Featured on ETSY's Gift guides!

It is so exciting to be featured in one of ETSY's Gift Guides, let alone being featured in 2 of them!
 What's a gift guide?
well, it is kind of a catalogue of items that ETSY's administrator pick to feature on their front page and in their blog. These guides are promoted by ETSY and can make a great promotion and selling impact on ones' shop.
My first item is featured in the Environmentally Friendly Gift Guide and he is Mr owl, a small puppet I created from recycled fused plastic bags.

He's quite small (a finger puppet) but he's so cute I decided to put him on my shop avatar and banner.

The second item I have featured , are my "Black Widow" fused crochet flowers, which are featured in Your Etsy Twitter Picks Gift Guide.

I think they can be used as an embllishment for so many projects (I suggest them as earrings but that just my suggestion).

Oh my, I have so many ideas for products from this material. I promise to keep sharing:-)

Can Snowflakes Be Recycled?

I think they can! Well they might look like paper , but I made them from fused plastic bags in shades of white and some touches of green and red, just perfect to decorate a Christmas cozy gathering!

Hope you like them as much as I do!

What ? why? who?

I've been selling on ETSY for almost 3 years now where I have an online shop for children's Personalized Gifts. This shop is a great way for me to manage my local Israeli shop, and a great way to sell to international customers. This shop also brought me to be really concerned about Handmade buying and selling, so I currated a Hebrew Forum for ETSY sellers which celebrated its first successful Birthday this July, and that has over 300 members (offline and online).
I also teach Israeli Artists how to open a shop on ETSY and together with my husband we have been giving online promotion and Marketing classes as well.
On August 2009 I opened my second shop on ETSY- http://www.ecobylimitz.etsy.com/ and this is the place for me to present and sell my eco-friendly creations, which are at the moment from plastic grocery bags. I creat plarn (Plastic yarn) and use it as a thread to knit and sew, and I also create fused plastic with which I design new objects.
This blog is meant for sharing my ideas, new designs, my wonderful artist friends and much much more!:-)
See ya,
